just a tribute: to a diy mirror

Wow time flies! Didn't I just write a post yesterday? I guess not.

Regardless of when my last post was, I am excited to share my latest project with you! I had been shopping around for awhile for a mirror to go over our kitchen table. Why do I need a mirror above there, you ask? Because I need to get a last look at myself going out the door!

So, I found this fabulous white patterned mirror at Home Goods for a great price. It looked like it had been run over or stepped on a few times with the amount of scuffs it had on it (hence the cheap price), but I thought to myself how the proportions would look great! I put it my cart and purchased it, then went straight to a craft store and bought some beautiful turquoise spray paint!

It's hard to see the scuffs, but trust me they are there! We also had to tape off the mirror so we wouldn't get any paint on it.

This is after 3 coats!

The final product! It adds a pop of color in our fairly neutral apartment!

With a few more homey touches added (a beige textured table runner and some turquoise candles) I would say the end result turned out well! John however thinks it looks too "Beachy", so I obviously responded by saying he should get me a beach house to put it in!

Happy Friday Everyone!
